Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst
LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst for a 6 months contract with our Ottawa based customer.
Overview
The Senior Network Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for providing technical services, specialized advice, recommendations and support in the planning, development, implementation, integration and maintenance of the client's IT infrastructure for both internal service delivery and external clients. The Senior Analyst acts a lead in the identification, evaluation and development of a series of technology standards used by the client as well as in activities associated with the periodic auditing of other IT areas.
Major Responsibilities
- Provide on-going technical support for technical configuration of hardware, software and/or services implemented;
- Co-ordinate and/or perform the setup, testing and implementation of various infrastructure related hardware and software products and/or services;
- Monitor hardware and software products and services for periodic upgrades and fixes;
- Lead the research, evaluation and identification of a series of strategic products and/or services required for the implementation of Technology Standards;
- Work outside regular business hours in support of implementing changes into the environment as per our change management schedules;
- Develop, review and update system documentation and procedures using the client's Infrastructure templates.
- Ensure all system related changes follow change management process.
Deliverables:
- Provide network assistance in the deployment of the solution
- Audit networks and provide recommendations for improvements
- Provide day to day 2nd level support and administration of the network infrastructure (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Network Monitoring, RSA Secur lD, etc...). Primarily Cisco equipment.
- Participate in project activities as required
Required Experience:
Senior level infrastructure design, networking, and configuration of a high availability L3VPN (MPLS VPN) multi-service network providing secure internetworking between multiple institutions
Duration: 6 months
Security clearance: Secret Level II
