Microsoft Systems Engineer

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Microsoft Systems Engineer for a contract with their Ottawa based customer.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated technical understanding of Windows, storage platforms, inter-networking architectures, as well as web computing architectures
• Demonstrated experience in performance and capacity planning
• Extension knowledge in server virtualization support and implementation using VMware ESX
• Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Server Infrastructure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print
• Knowledge of Microsoft Certificate Authority and PKI
• knowledge of Windows tiered application support (IIS, ASP, SQL)
• Extensive knowledge of Exchange 2003 and 2007
• Knowledge of EDM P8
• Knowledge of MS System Center Configuration Manager & Operations Manager
• Experience in HP server hardware support
• Experience with server virtualization support and implementation via VMware ESX
• Undergraduate degree in computer science/engineering or related discipline or post-secondary education in information technology or industry certification and a minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a System Support Specialist
• Experience with Windows 2003/2008 Server infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File and Print)

Assets:

• Industry certification (e.g., CCNA, MCSE)
• Windows 2003 or 2008 MCSE
• Experience with SCOM (System Center Operations Manager)
