Sr. Network Analyst

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Sr. Network Analyst for a 6 month contract with their Ottawa based customer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure with a focus on network security by deploying, supporting and administering a variety of mitigation measures to secure the corporate networking environment(s) and infrastructure elements.

Main responsibilities:

• Participate in a major corporate infrastructure upgrade through both hands on installation and providing architectural advice
• Designs and implements business continuity, disaster recovery, and backup plans for the network
• Participates and conducts network security reviews, threat & risk assessments, and accreditation and certification
• Develops guidelines and standard operating procedures for network security
• Tracks and monitors network security for security breaches, installs security software, responds to cyber-attacks, and carries out reporting requirements Prepare installation packages for use on SCCM
• Investigates and recommends products for improving network security that enforce the customer's IT policies, procedures, and directives
• Develops, designs, implements, and supports network security configurations to improve the overall network security
• Develops project plans for implementation of network security controls.
• Supports perimeter defenses such as e-mail anti-spam, firewalls, and web filtering system(s)
• Generates incident reports and correlates event logging.

Technical Skill set:

• VMWare
• HP infrastructure
• CommVault
• SAN
• Citrix
• PM experience would be an asset
